The Ferry Fiasco in Scotland

Ferries are lifeline links for the citizens and visitors of the islands in Scotland. Yet they face continued disruption. Surely there are lessons that can be learned from successful ferry operations globally and those lessons published for the common good and mutual reward.

For the last 25 years or so, Malcolm has worked in all sectors of the Defence and Security industry, for example as a directing consultant for a Big Five Consultancy, as the Project adviser to QinetiQ the UK based research and development organisation, and for global defence and security groups, He has also run a New Zealand based SME Security businesses and regularly works with Government Institutions, Academia and R&D Establishments to help improve homeland security for common good and mutual reward. Malcolm now focuses on improving Resilience in civic society especially the protection of Critical National Infrastructure with a focus on the Commonwealth. Malcolm chairs international conferences on the technical, human factors, political and economic aspects of security threats that affect us all and which will continue to challenge us all in the future.
