Latest from the CNI Scotland – Ferries

The Ferry Challenges in Scotland. Ferries are lifeline services for the people who live on the islands and the many visitors from Scotland and beyond. Yet those services are often disrupted; with no tangible solution delivered. Can we learn from global successful ferry operations? Can those lessons and advice be properly published for mutual benefit and reward.

Maritime lifelines

Digital threats to our Scottish maritime infrastructure; offshore energy of all types, port and harbours and vessels that serve Scotland with vital goods, raw materials and exports, has never been more sophisticated. In fixed infrastructures, it is cyber attacks on OT and IT systems. At sea, there is increasing concern from attack which affects the positioning of vessels. This is not something the general population can ignore. We all need to work up our ways of improving digital resilience. Lots of thoughts perhaps on how we best do this?
